This week marks first annual Donor Appreciation Week
In an effort to highlight the importance of generosity, philanthropy and good stewardship, NNU’s Office of University Advancement is implementing Donor Appreciation Week during the week prior to Homecoming weekend. This year the event will be held Monday-Friday, Nov. 9-13.
Donor Appreciation Week will include “tags” on buildings and features across campus indicating the gifts from donors that made them possible. NNU’s Associate Vice President of Development Mark Wheeler commented, “Donor Appreciation Week gives us as the NNU Community the opportunity to once again recognize the many individuals who have made all that we see around us a reality. Much of what happens on the campus is made possible only by the generosity of our many alumni and friends.”
When asked about Donor Appreciation Week, NNU’s University Fund Director Jeffrey Lowe responded, “I think TAG Day will be an eye opener for many students, alumni, faculty and staff as to how generous our donors have been to NNU over the years. You can’t help but be humbled when you see how supporters of this institution have given so we can enjoy this beautiful campus and fulfill our mission as a university.”
