More ways to choose NNU
This fall, Idaho students have one more avenue to choose Northwest Nazarene University as their college home. The Idaho State Board of Education voted to add NNU and C of I to the Apply Idaho application. This portal allows students to fill out one application to apply for admission to all the Idaho state colleges and universities with no application fee.
The majority vote by the State Board was in response to students indicating interest in having the two private schools as options on the application. The decision will expand the choices of college seeking students and make it even easier to take the first step of coming to NNU.
NNU has been offering a comprehensive education to Idaho students for over a century, and it is an honor to be recognized by the Idaho State Board of Education in this way. An NNU education is distinctly different than the public college and university options, so becoming a part of Apply Idaho will give every Idaho student the opportunity to easily pursue their best fit school.
NNU Associate Vice President for Enrollment, Shawn Blenker said, “I’m very excited about this opportunity and I look forward to collaborating with the State Board of Education. We have been serving students and providing an education with an intentionally Christian worldview for 105 years here in the Boise area. Beginning this Fall, every high school student in the state of Idaho will now see Northwest Nazarene University as an option and be able to easily begin the application process through Apply Idaho. Very exciting!”
Apply Idaho will make an NNU education more accessible than ever. Since Gem State students already make up 50 percent of the student body, the university is excited to make it even easier for students to start the process of joining the NNU family.
