Mongolia, the Arctic, Space and... Idaho?

Last Updated 2 July, 2015

Even if you aren’t at a place in your life where you are interested in “Best Cities to Raise a Family” or “Best Places to Retire” commendations, don’t overlook Idaho as a great place to visit and great place to spend your college years. You may be just the type to appreciate one of the latest top tens featuring the Gem State, “The CNN 10: Dare to Go.”

In series of articles highlighting some of the most unique locales on the planet (spoiler: space makes the list too), Idaho is the only place in the United States to rank. Set beside Bhutan, Romania and the Arctic Circle, Idaho is lauded for deep canyons, vast river systems and extensive wilderness.

Sure, the author of the article still references potatoes as Idaho’s most widely recognized identifier, but being a well-kept secret is okay by most residents. In fact, being undiscovered is what keeps Idaho’s unique landscapes so pristine.

Despite that, we invite you to come if you dare. See what puts Idaho on the same list as space as a place “well worth a stop on your global adventure.” Stop by the campus of Northwest Nazarene University while you are here; we think you’ll find us to be well worth your visit too.
