Honor Dr. Marvin Bloomquist and attend Crusader Choir Reunion

All Crusader Choir alumni are invited to join NNU’s 2015 Crusader Choir & Orchestra for a reunion weekend and unforgettable evening concert performance on November 14 during Homecoming & Family Weekend. Pep Rally Dinner and Men’s Basketball game

During NNU’s Homecoming and Family Weekend, all ages are invited to join in on the pep rally dinner at Johnson Sports Center Fieldhouse on Friday, November 13, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m

Come have a BBQ pulled-chicken sandwich and baked beans with your old roommate, or introduce your family to friends they’ve only heard stories about. Everyone is encouraged to support NNU by wearing red and black, our school colors!

Once you’ve eaten your fill, high-fived and hugged your quota of long-lost friends, and raised your energy to a sufficient level of excitement fit for supporting your alma mater, head on over to the gym to watch the Crusader men’s basketball team take on Bethesda University. Tip-off is at 8 p.m., with a homecoming coronation ceremony at 7 p.m.

Pep rally dinner tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children between 5-11 years of age, and free for children under five years of age (with a parent). Basketball general admission seats are $5 for adults and free for children under 12 years of age; reserved seats are $10. All students and faculty/staff families can get into the basketball game free with an NNU ID.

Attend your class reunion

Calling all alumni from graduation years ending in 5 and 0, this is your class reunion year! Come reconnect with classmates and friends at your reunion gathering and dinner during Homecoming and Family Weekend. Even if you already share photos and messages on Facebook, there’s something special about connecting with people in person that brings you closer together and rewards your spirit.

The classes of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010 will be celebrating reunions on Saturday, November 14. For more details, including reunion times, locations and tickets, visit nnu.edu/homecoming.

Celebrate 42 years of volleyball

NNU’s volleyball program, the first intercollegiate Crusader women’s sport that is still played currently, began in 1973, 60 years after the school’s founding. Today, NNU boasts a proud athletic tradition that features 13 sports played at the NCAA Division II level in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

At the 2015 Homecoming & Family Weekend, there will be a celebration to commemorate 42 years of volleyball. On Friday, Nov. 13, Coach Darlene Brasch, the coach with the most wins in the program’s history, and former player Liz Benear Nixon (’99), NAIA All-American, will be inducted into the NNU Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place during half-time of the men’s basketball game, tip-off at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, November 14, there will be a reunion lunch for all volleyball athletes and coaches at 1:00 p.m. in the Johnson Sport Center. Purchase tickets for the lunch online. Following at 2:30 p.m., NNU will take on St. Martin’s in conference volleyball action. During intermission, there will be a parade and recognition of all participating volleyball alumni and coaches.

The purchase of a ticket for the volleyball reunion lunch will serve as your RSVP for this special weekend. All former players attending the lunch will also receive a ticket for the 2:30 volleyball match along with a special volleyball alumni shirt from NNU Athletics. Please provide your t-shirt size (women’s sizing) at point of purchase.
