Remember that college math professor who finally explained a complex problem in a way you could understand? How about those students who helped make your business classes so much fun? Connections made and relationships built at NNU are invaluable, and during Homecoming Weekend 2015, NNU wants to make sure you have a chance to reconnect with friends and faculty who have impacted your life.
On November 14, 2015 rooms across campus will be filled with alumni eating breakfast with one another and joining in fellowship. Following is list of times and places for each departmental academic breakfast. Tickets can be purchased online or through the NNU alumni office.
- The Science & Math Associates Homecoming Breakfast will be held in the College Church Atrium from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- The 9th Annual Nazarene Theological Seminary/NNU School of Theology and Christian Ministries Alumni Gathering will be held in Franklin Hall inside College Church from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- The Department of Education Breakfast will be held in the Brandt Center Grand Lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- The School of Business Breakfast will be held in Harter Lecture Hall inside the Helstrom Business Building from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
There will be childcare available at College Church on November 14, beginning at 8 a.m.
Panel discussion on theologian Karl Barth
Attend NNU’s School of Theology and Christian Ministries open panel during Homecoming & Family Weekend 2015. The panel, entitled “Discussing the Significance of Karl Barth,” will focus on the teachings of this great Protestant theologian of the twentieth century.
The open panel will be held on Friday, November 13, at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Emerson Administration Building. This event is free and open to the public. Panelists are to be announced.
Come to Overtime, the after-game party
NNU’s Junior Class Council is hosting Overtime, a Homecoming & Family Weekend Nov. 2015 event. Come hang out with friends, family, alumni and current NNU students in the Johnson Sports Center fieldhouse at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 following the end of the Homecoming basketball game. There will be free food, games and fun. Admission is free.
