Friesen Galleries partners to produce ExTRACKtion

The Northwest Nazarene University Friesen Galleries along with Hill Street Studios/TRACK 13 have partnered to produce a contemporary art show titled ExTRACKtion, which features a variety of approaches to art depicting trains, the Nampa depot and graffiti.

A reception to open the show will be held Tuesday, September 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Brandt Center on the NNU campus. There will be live demonstrations of graffiti painting as well as improvised music by David Gluck, Camden Hughes and NNU students and alumni.

Exhibiting artists and participants include Tom Bicak, Chris Fonseca, David Gluck, Camden Hughes, Betty Mallorca, Lawrence Manning, Sam Paden, Sally Phillips, Canyon County Historical Society and guest artists.

The show will run September 12 through October 12 in Friesen Galleries located on the upper level of the NNU Brandt Center at 707 Fern St. in Nampa. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment.
