CSMA hosts economist Barry Asmus
NNU’s Center for the Study of Market Alternatives (CSMA) will host speaker Dr. Barry Asmus on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. in NNU’s Helstrom Business Center, 804 E. Dewey Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and there will be a reception with refreshments before the speaker begins.
Asmus is a Senior Economist with the National Center for Policy Analysis and he will be speaking on his book, “The Poverty of Nations: A Sustainable Solution.” His book proposes a solution to fight national poverty through the importance of personal freedom, the rule of law, private property, moral virtue, and education.
USA Today named Asmus one of the five most requested speakers in the United States and he specializes in topics ranging from our income tax system to privatizing Social Security. Asmus is the author of nine books and is an advocate of free market economics.
This event is free and open to the public. The first 30 people will receive a free copy of Asmus’s book, “The Poverty of Nations: A Sustainable Solution.”
