Alumni Board elects new President
Eddie Miles has been elected as the Northwest Nazarene University Alumni Board President. Miles will be stepping into this role in place of Jan McIntire, who has served as Alumni Board President for six years.
The Alumni Board of Directors governs the Alumni Association and meets twice yearly representing alumni across the NNU Northwest region and across the globe. The Office of Alumni Relations works to keep alumni connected to each other as well as the University.
“It's a great honor to be selected to represent the University and its alumni,” Miles said. “I am looking forward to continuing to serve God, the University and my fellow alumni in this new role.”
Miles graduated from NNC in 1993 with a degree in Business Administration and now lives in Yakima, Washington, with his wife Christine (Talmadge - Class of 1994) and their two children, Gabe and Ally. The Miles family attends West Valley Church of the Nazarene in Yakima.
Miles works as the Chief Operating Officer for The Dolsen Companies, a parent company of several businesses including Coca-Cola of Yakima and Tri-Cities, Dairy and Cattle Operations and Farming Operations in Oregon.
Eddie and Christine’s son Gabe is a freshman student at NNU, studying Criminal Justice. Ally is a sophomore at West Valley High School and participates in track, hoping to compete at the college level at NNU after graduating.
