NNU Names Deans in Support of New College Structure

NNU Faculty have voted to transition to a "7-Colleges" structure. In support of this new model, President Joel Pearsall has named seven internal Faculty as Deans for their respective departments.


Grant to Fund Biomedical Research on Campus

NNU has been awarded a five year grant totaling $872,005, which will fund undergraduate students working on faculty-directed summer research projects. The research projects will specifically be focused in the areas of biology, chemistry, computer science, field biology and engineering.

Old Becoming New: Student Center Repurposing

With construction on NNU’s new student commons well underway—and nearly halfway finished—plans to repurpose the current student center have begun. Multiple departments on campus will utilize the new repurposed space including: the College of Nursing, Undergraduate Admissions and multiple offices that currently serve student needs.

NNU Alum and Honorary Degree Recipient Leaves Legacy of Support

Supporter, alumni and friend of Northwest Nazarene University, Jerry Lee Caven, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 24. His family will remember him for his great determination to create, develop and share the gifts and talents given to him by God and the passion to do so until the very end of his life. Jerry has left a legacy of service to his family and to God.

A Successful Commencement Weekend for NNU

On May 11, 239 traditional undergraduate students and 325 graduate and non-traditional students became official alumni of the university. Reverend Hughlon R. Friberg also received special recognition and was awarded an Honorary Degree Citation during Commencement.
