On Campus Student Employment
All students can search and apply for on-campus jobs through Handshake -- search for employer "NNU Student Employment" or "on-campus" positions.
Students must have original identification necessary to obtain employment. Photocopies of identification will not be accepted. View the List of Acceptable Documents for Hire (PDF). Once a student is hired for a job, they must provide documentation to HR prior to starting position.
Work Study Students: The following departmental positions are not eligible for work study: Spiritual Formation (chapel monitors), School of Theology and Christian Ministries, Sodexo- Facilities, and Sodexo- Food Service. All other on-campus positions are eligible. NNU also participates in the America Reads program in which NNU students go to local elementary schools to help grade school children in reading and math. For more information on America Reads, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Odd Jobs: People in the community regularly contact the Career Center seeking students for one-time, short-term, or as needed opportunities. These opportunities can include, but are not limited to, tutoring, child care, yard work, cleaning, and more. The Career Center acts as a liaison between community members and students for these paid positions. Odd jobs are posted on Handshake under "NNU Student Employment" as the employer or position title "Odd Job- (type of job)." For more information on odd jobs, please contact the Career Center.
